The judging process involves ranking Guacamole contestants against each other and awarding first, second, and third places. Judges must avoid unnecessary interactions with contestants. No one is permitted, under any circumstances, to interfere with the judges during their evaluations, with the staff, or to promote any contestant over another. Anyone violating this rule will be immediately removed from the judging area. Judging information will not be provided by phone or mail. Judges have the discretion to award first, second, and third places based on judging criteria and merit. If a contestant lacks merit, no award will be given, regardless of the number of entries in the class. All decisions made by the judges are final.
Please read both the generic rules on the following page and the individual contest rules, classes, judging criteria and check-in information on that particular contest’s page.
